Shri Satish Kumar, a distinguished officer of the 1986 batch of Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers. He joined Railways in March, 1988, and has a rich experience of 38 years of working on Indian Railways. He, worked as GM/North Central Railways and also worked as SDGM & CVO on North Western Railways, Jaipur. He worked on Jhansi Division of erstwhile Central Railway and DLW (Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi), North Eastern Railways, Gorkahpur, Patiala Locomotive Works. He was trained in Total Quality Management, under United Nation Development Programme in 1996. He also worked as Divisional Railway Manager, Lucknow Division on Northen Railway from April, 2017 to April, 2019. A large nos. of infrastructural works were accomplished during his tenure as DRM/Lucknow. His works during Kumbh, 2019 was also appreciated by all levels which was mammoth taskand was successfully accomplished by his Lucknow Division team. |

Shri Praveen Kumar, belongs to 1989 batch of Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE). With over three decades of exemplary service, Shri Kumar has established himself as a visionary leader in the realm of mega Railway Infrastructure projects. His experience spans the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization to commissioning. Shri Kumar has expertise in international tendering, procurement and dealing with multi-lateral funding agencies, including the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the World Bank. Shri Kumar has been involved with Dedicated Freight Corridors for more than a decade and handled complex challenges related to land acquisition, project execution and procurement. He has been instrumental in commissioning critical Rewari-Dadri section of DFC which is the links WDFC with EDFC. His ability to resolve intricate contractual issues in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts through amicable means has earned him widespread respect in the industry. Shri Kumar has authored two authoritative books on railway engineering displaying his technical prowess and commitment to knowledge-sharing. Shri Praveen Kumar has completed his Bachelors and Masters degree in Civil Engineering from IIT, Roorkee. He has also done Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy and Management from MDI, Gurgaon. |

Shri Rahul Kapoor is presently holding the post of ED Finance (PPP & RM) in the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, to promote private investment in Railway systems, and mobilise financial resources to fund Railway infrastructure in the country. Additionally, he holds the portfolio of Director Finance in the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited, an organisation that undertakes planning & development, construction, operation, maintenance, and business development of the dedicated freight corridors in Railway Transportation. In his earlier role as Joint Secretary & Mission Director, in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, he was leading Government of India’s Flagship Urban Development Schemes, viz. Smart Cities Mission, the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM), the PM-SVANidhi Yojana, and International Cooperation, dealing with urban challenges including, inter alia, infrastructure development, poverty alleviation, gender inclusion, and technology. He has varied experience in the field of Government infrastructure and finance having worked as Director Finance- PPP in the Ministry of Railways. He has also worked as Director Banking in the Ministry of Finance, that has given him a good insight into the working of the banking industry. With a background in Economics, Mr. Kapoor is a part of the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS). His work of DataSmart Cities Strategy has been awarded the ‘Platinum Icon’ at the Digital India Awards by the Hon’ble President of India, and is also recipient of the Innovation Award at Smart Cities World Expo and Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Shri Pankaj Saxena is an Indian Railways Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer of the 1987 batch and has over 33 years of experience in various aspects of Civil Engineering in Indian Railways. A highly accomplished technocrat, Shri Saxena is an M. Tech. in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-Delhi) & B. Tech. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT-Roorkee). He has been extensively trained in Austria, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore and USA. Prior to his last assignment at the Railway Board, he has worked in Central Railway, Northern Railway, East Central Railway and RVNL. He has also served as Director, Railway Board and Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Division. Shri Shobhit Bhatnagar is an Indian Railways Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of the 1992 Batch. With DFCCIL fast nearing completion (with 88.4% complete), he assumes charge at a pivotal time when the organisation is transitioning into the Operations phase. A consummate technocrat, he has the distinction of having served as Group General Manager (GGM) Operations & Business Development at DFCIL from 27.09.2021 to 09.03.2023. Prior to that has served as GGM (Commercial & Operations), at CONCOR, Chief Freight Transportation Manager (CFTM), as well as Chief Passenger Transportation Manager (CPTM) North Western Railway. He also served as CFTM North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur. He has been the Deputy Chief Operation Manager (DCOM) Freight Operation Information System (FOIS), Northern Railway and Director Computerisation & Information Systems (CRIS) Railway Board. Sh. Bhatnagar was part of the team that had developed the prototype of the FOIS in 1999-2000 where he had programmed the prototype application. He was the convenor of the Directors level committee of the Railway Board that had developed the procedure for the e-registration of demand and electronic transmission of Railway receipt (e-TRR). He is a BE (Computer Science) from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology, Indore. His hobbies include music and astronomy. He likes to play electronic keyboards and piano accordion in his free time and look at the universe with his telescope. |

Shri Anurag Sharma is an Indian Engineering Services (IES) officer of the 1994 Batch. Prior to his joining DFCCIL in 2013, he served Department of Telecommunications/BSNL in various capacities for around 18 years and a brief stint in Asian Development Bank Project in Uttaranchal. After joining DFCCIL, Sh. Sharma carried out various challenging tasks in various capacities with utmost success, particularly while managing various Mega Contracts. He has been involved with Western Dedicated Freight Corridor for more than a decade and has successfully handled multiple tasks related to land acquisition, project planning & execution, project completion & closure and related dispute resolution processes. He has been instrumental in completion and commissioning of New Rewari- Madar section of WDFC while working as CGM Jaipur. He has got vast exposure to domestic and International Commercial Arbitrations. Sh. Sharma was last posted as ED/Infra DFCCIL. He is B. Tech in Civil Engineering and MBA in Project Management and has been trained in various aspects of Railway Technologies in Japan, Germany, UK & Austria. |

Dr.Pranai Prabhakar joined the Railway Board as Principal Executive Director (Infrastructure) on 27th February, 2024. Before joining the Railway Board, Dr. Prabhakar has held the post of Principal Operating Manager, North Western Railway since October, 2023.
Dr. Prabhakar is an officer of 1990 Batch of Indian Railway Traffic Services and joined as AOM in BRC Division of the Western Railway.
Dr. Prabhakar has held the post of Chief Vigilance Officer in the Central Warehousing Corporation from November 2018 to July 2021. It was during Dr. Prabhakar’s tenure as CVO, that CWC became the first PSU in India to be ISO 37001: 2016. He has also held the post of Chief General Manager/CONCOR during the period July 2016 to October 2018.
He has done M.A. and M. Phil in International Economic Relations from the Jawahar Lal Nehru University, Delhi. Dr. Prabhakar did his PhD in Management Studies from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai. He also holds the MBA degree from the same institute.
